One of the glaring changes in the end of life arena is the change in emphasis from whether to bury or cremate to how to create a legacy.
Before the 1975 only 6% of the US population was cremated, but today it’s about 45%. With the emphasis being less about caskets, body viewing, tombstones and buying a grave site, the new focus is how to create a legacy. A memory chair is a great way to keep a loved one’s spirit alive
I came across this photo of a baseball hat on a chair and thought what a great idea to keep a loved one’s memory alive after a funeral or celebration of life. Wouldn’t it be great to take his or her baseball cap or favorite hat around to all the places where family and mutual friends gather? A sign could also be placed on the chair next to the hat.

Decorating the Christmas tree is a joyous activity for families during the holiday season.
